Branch 146's golf program is designed to ensure SIR golfers enjoy the game of golf at whatever level they play. We expect all golfers to play in the spirit of the game by acting with integrity, showing consideration to others, and taking good care of the course. Our golf program is administered by a committee of volunteers whose primary goal is to make golf fun for everyone.
Branch 146 Golf Club is an Associate Club of the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA). Our members are also members of the NCGA and enjoy all the benefits of the NCGA membership including reduced green fees at selected golf course and establishing a recognized handicap index.
Branch 146 has a standing block of tee times every Tuesday at Boundary Oak Golf Course, here in Walnut Creek. Signing up for play is easy. All club members receive an invitation to play and then use BlueGolf, an application provided by the NCGA, to register for the next tournament. Weekly pairings are done on a random basis so that over time new members will meet and play with every member of our club. Once a month, we deviate from our normal stroke play format and play using an alternate format which could be an individual or team competition.
In addition to our regular Tuesday golf, we schedule "Away" golf at other golf courses on the first Thursday of the month from April to October.
If playing 18 holes of golf is not for you, Branch 146 also has a 9-hole group which plays at Diablo Hills Golf Course. The 9-hole group plays every Thursday except the 2nd Thursday of the month. For information about the 9-hole group, contact Bob Ford.
The SIR State Golf Committee conducts a number of tournaments and other golf events throughout the year. Information of these events can be found on the State Golf Committee website.
